Loren Hoyt
Board Member

Learn more...

My name is Loren Hoyt, and I’ve proudly called DeLand home since 1980, after moving from the Boston area. DeLand is where I grew up, graduating from DeLand High, and it’s where my children have also graduated, making me a passionate member of this community.

I’ve always believed in giving back, and I’ve served on the board of directors for the DeLand and Greater West Volusia Chamber of Commerce and am a passionate member of the Junior Service League of DeLand. For the past 22 years, I’ve worked at DaVita Labs in DeLand.

This charity is incredibly close to my heart, as my goddaughter and niece is a childhood cancer survivor. She battled neuroblastoma and, thankfully, lives right here in our DeLand community. Seeing the strength she and our family have shown through this journey has made me a fierce advocate for children and families facing this diagnosis. It’s an honor to be a part of a foundation that provides such vital support.
